This is the statewide American Safety Institute checkout. There is no separate Genesee County link or price on this site.

  • 10% of the base rate for 3 years
  • Up to 4 points on a suspension calculation
  • 6 hours online, finish within 30 days

Genesee County is the Thruway county between Erie and Monroe. Batavia is the seat, and Le Roy and Pembroke are Thruway exits people use without thinking of them as a destination. A ticket at a Batavia exit counts on the same record as a ticket in Buffalo or Rochester. The county is not a buffer with its own math.

How it works

  1. 1 Enroll at checkout The button opens American Safety Institute’s checkout. This site does not change that address.
  2. 2 Finish the 6-hour course DMV says the internet course includes 320 minutes of instruction and must be finished within 30 days.
  3. 3 Certificate, then your insurer The sponsor tells DMV. You give the paper certificate to your insurer. Points stay on your record.

Statewide rule, short version: a 10% reduction for three years in the base rate of your current automobile liability, no-fault, and collision premiums, if you are the principal operator. Up to 4 points come off DMV’s suspension math, not off the record. The full limits are on the 6-hour course page.

Roads that matter here

  • I-90. The Thruway crosses the county and is the reason most through traffic is here.
  • Route 33 and Route 5. Older east–west roads through Batavia, parallel to the Thruway in spirit if not in speed.
  • Route 63 and Route 98. North–south routes toward Albion and the lake plain. They are posted state highways.

DMV office

The internet course does not require a trip to a DMV office. If you need an office for a permit, a license, or a driving record, search the NY DMV office finder for Genesee County. Hours and which transactions an office handles change, so use that live list instead of a copied address.

What stays the same

Many policies garage the car in Batavia and list a workplace in Rochester or Buffalo. Ask the insurer who the principal operator is. DMV does not award the 10% to every named driver.

If you are 18 or older and still need a first New York license, that is the 5-hour pre-licensing course, not this one.

Questions for Genesee County

If I cross Genesee County every day but live in Monroe County, which page matters?

The pages explain roads. The enrollment link is the same. Your license and your insurance policy follow the statewide rule, not the county you were passing through when the ticket was written.

Does Genesee County have its own course price?

No. This site links to one statewide checkout for the New York 6-hour internet course. American Safety Institute publishes the fee on its course page, and the checkout page shows the amount due. The DMV point and insurance rules do not change by county or city.
