This is the statewide American Safety Institute checkout. There is no separate Wayne County link or price on this site.

  • 10% of the base rate for 3 years
  • Up to 4 points on a suspension calculation
  • 6 hours online, finish within 30 days

Wayne County is the canal and the ridge east of Rochester. Newark, Lyons, and Sodus are the centers, and Route 104 carries commuters toward Monroe County. Lake Ontario is the northern border. A ridge-road commute is not a separate insurance region.

How it works

  1. 1 Enroll at checkout The button opens American Safety Institute’s checkout. This site does not change that address.
  2. 2 Finish the 6-hour course DMV says the internet course includes 320 minutes of instruction and must be finished within 30 days.
  3. 3 Certificate, then your insurer The sponsor tells DMV. You give the paper certificate to your insurer. Points stay on your record.

Statewide rule, short version: a 10% reduction for three years in the base rate of your current automobile liability, no-fault, and collision premiums, if you are the principal operator. Up to 4 points come off DMV’s suspension math, not off the record. The full limits are on the 6-hour course page.

Roads that matter here

  • Route 104. The ridge road across the county toward Rochester. It is posted.
  • Route 31. The canal road through Newark and Lyons.
  • Route 88. A north–south road toward Sodus and the lake. Tickets stay on the record.

DMV office

The internet course does not require a trip to a DMV office. If you need an office for a permit, a license, or a driving record, search the NY DMV office finder for Wayne County. Hours and which transactions an office handles change, so use that live list instead of a copied address.

What stays the same

A car garaged in Newark and driven to a job in Webster or Rochester still turns on the principal operator. The Monroe County and Rochester pages describe the western end of Route 104.

If you are 18 or older and still need a first New York license, that is the 5-hour pre-licensing course, not this one.

Questions for Wayne County

Does a Wayne County garage get the Rochester discount plus the state discount?

There is no extra Rochester discount in DMV’s rules. The reduction is the statewide 10% of the base rate. It does not stack with a second local program this site can promise.

Does Wayne County have its own course price?

No. This site links to one statewide checkout for the New York 6-hour internet course. American Safety Institute publishes the fee on its course page, and the checkout page shows the amount due. The DMV point and insurance rules do not change by county or city.
